Co-benefits

As well as delivering the core objective of landslide hazard reduction, there are a number of co-benefits which have been emphasised by stakeholders, during and after Mossaic projects  – these include:

• Majority of funds go into the community
• Projects provide community employment
• Rainwater harvesting is implemented in the projects
• Community training is emphasised throughout
• Health benefits ensue from the removal of stagnant water on hillsides
• Mossaic links science and social science policy
